Forncett St Mary Industrial Steam Museum – Sunday 7th May
The run to the Forncett St Mary Industrial Steam Museum proved to be a very enjoyable day. The museum is well worth a visit particularity on a Steam Day. Doctor Rowan Francis gave an interesting and enthusiastic talk about the various engines on the site.
Treasure Hunt – Sunday 23rd April 2017
This year’s Treasure Hunt started at Royston Wyevale Garden Centre and finished at Paul & Michelle Lawrence’s house at Royston for soup and cakes. The winners of this year’s hotly contested competition were Liz Heyer and Martin Hunter.
Wimpole Hall Estate Run – Sunday 19th March 2017
For the first run of 2017 we went from Milton near Cambridge to Wimpole Hall Estate, Arrington, near Royston. Club members Roger and Pauline Stratford are both volunteer guides at Wimpole and treated a group of about 15 members to a very informative and interesting tour of the grounds, telling us all about the history of the Wimpole Hall Estate
Build a Festive Structure – Club Night Wednesday 7th December 2016
The competition was to build a Reindeer our of newspaper and masking tape and a Christmas Tree out of spaghetti and marshmallows!
